First Generation Students

Tufts defines a first-generation college student as being the first person in a student’s immediate family to go to a 4-year college in the United States. First-gen students at Tufts take immense pride in their first-gen identity and take full advantage of the many opportunities Tufts provides. The staff of the Office for Student Success and Advising are available to support first-gen students with any questions they may have about the college experience. Appointments can be made with the Student Success Advisors or Dean Robert Mack by calling Student Services at 617-627-2000.
