The Student Accessibility Services Office is pleased to announce that the first recipient of our Faculty Disability Advocate Award is Mark Sheldon! Mark Sheldon is a Lecturer in the Computer Science Department and has been incredibly supportive of students with disabilities and of the SAS office.  He was nominated by students and the SAS staff.

Mark Sheldon is very attentive to his student’s needs, and they and the SAS stuaff appreciate his student-first focus. One student wrote “Mark Sheldon is always accommodating and includes disabilities in his first-day lecture. I feel like he doesn’t stigmatize disabilities.” Please join us in congratulating Mark Sheldon as a strong disability advocate at Tufts!
