Traveling to Tufts

We look forward to welcoming you to our campus. We encourage you to check the calendar as you make your travel arrangements. Please note that if you choose to arrive early, you will need to make your own accommodation arrangements. Commuter students should complete program registration at Lewis Hall.

Airport Arrivals

The closest airport to Tufts is Boston Logan International. We provide complimentary transfers from the airport for each program at designated times. If you arrive on another date you will need to make your own transportation arrangements.

Airport Transfer Times

English Today 6-Week and Institute for International Scholars:
July 1 after 3 p.m. and July 2 before 6 p.m.

English Today 4-Week and High School:
Either July 15 after 3 p.m. and July 16 before 6 p.m.

If you arrive at Boston Logan Airport and are unable to locate a Tufts representative, please contact us at 617-627-3568 and we will direct you to a waiting staff member.

If you are arriving by car, you should go directly to your residence hall:

Program Registration

When you arrive on campus, our program staff will assist you with the registration process and moving into your residence hall. During registration you will receive:

  • A Welcome Packet with the orientation schedule, public safety information, campus information, a map, and local dining information.
  • Your Tufts University ID card - This card provides access to campus facilities and should be kept with you at all times. You are required to show your ID at the request of any University Official.
  • Your Meal Card - This card provides access to the dining facilities on campus for your meal plan

Welcome Reception and Orientation

All students are invited to attend a welcome reception to meet your fellow students in a casual, friendly environment. Please check the calendar for specific times and locations.

On the first Monday of your program, the Summer Residential Life Staff will host an orientation to introduce you to Tufts University and the Greater Boston area. At this time you will meet Residence Counselors and staff, learn about campus resources, and find out more about activities planned for the summer.
