During your program, you will enjoy the benefits of living on a university campus with a variety of facilities to assist with language learning.

Computer Lab

The Eaton Computer Lab is Tufts' largest public computer lab that is open for student use year-round. With over 150 computers, the Eaton Lab is equipped with the latest operating systems for both Mac and Windows, and all computers are loaded with a variety of software. Scanners and printers are also available.

You may also use the Tisch Library to access additional computers.

Library Resources

You will have borrowing privileges at all libraries during your stay on campus. The two main libraries on the Medford Campus that which are most frequented by students are:

Recreational Facilities

We offer excellent recreational facilities for the entire community. In October 2012, Tufts opened the new 42,000-square-foot Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center on the Medford campus. The center contains a 7,000-square-foot fitness room and multipurpose fitness studios equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, weight training machines, and free weights, including dedicated space for personalized fitness training.

Other recreational facilities include the Hamilton pool, basketball and volleyball courts, squash courts, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, and outdoor track and field facilities.

Rental Services

The front desk of each residence hall has equipment available for rental. You can sign out any of the following equipment using your meal card:

  • Board games
  • Ping-pong paddles
  • Basketballs
  • Soccer balls
  • Volleyballs
  • Tennis rackets

The reception desk at the Conference and Events Service Headquarters in Harleston Hall has a number of items available for purchase including:

  • Postcards
  • Stamps
  • Coffee and tea
  • Variety of snacks
