What do you do as an intern at this organization?

 

Provide support for several aircraft engine programs including: - Growth-T700 electrical system production line and field support - CT7-8 electrical control unit redesign and development . On a daily basis, I provided electrical system support by investigating/researching technical data and control system configurations. I also assist failure analysis and root-cause investigations for troubleshooting. Occasionally, I evaluated and then compared technical cost analysis of supplier proposals. 

 

How did you find this internship?

 

I found it via the Jumbo Jobs website. The opportunity had been posted, and I applied through the website. 

 

What do you enjoy most about your internship?

 

The chance to interact with real engineers across different fields in a real technical environment. 

 

What do you find challenging?

 

Organizing projects around other engineers' schedules and availability to maximize time efficiency in order to meet project deadlines. (Most engineers work on more than one project at the same time.) 

 

What advice would you offer to someone who wants to make the most of an internship like yours?

 

Walk around, meet other engineers, network, and don't be afraid to ask questions. You are not expected to know anything, and talking to other experienced engineers is the best way to learn.
