Adler Pollock and Sheehan Diversity Scholarship

Adler Pollock and Sheehan Diversity Scholarship. $10,000 scholarship for an undergraduate student representing a diverse group (African American, American Indian, Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Gay/Lesbian, or other minority group) who will be entering his or her first year of an ABA-accredited law school within the U.S. this fall. Must be a resident of Massachusetts or Rhode Island. Deadline: June 1st

Albert and Fenner Business Consultants

Albert and Fenner Business Consultants. $1,000 scholarship for any student currently registered at an accredited postsecondary institution. Must submit a 500 -1000 word essay on a selected topic. Deadline: June 12th

JVS Scholarship Program

JVS Scholarship Program. $1,000-$5,000 scholarships for financially challenged Jewish students from Los Angeles planning to pursue higher education full-time (college, graduate, and vocational). A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Apply online. Deadline: March 15th

Islamic Scholarship Fund

Islamic Scholarship Fund. $2,000-$10,000 scholarships for undergraduate (sophomore/junior/senior standing) or graduate (PhD included) Muslim students who are active in the Muslim community, and have a GPA of at least 3.0. Deadline: March 21st

Orazio DiMauro Foundation Scholarship

Orazio DiMauro Foundation Scholarship. $2,000 and $3,500 scholarships for students majoring in engineering or attending medical school. Students must be a resident of the greater Bridgeport, CT area, which includes Trumbull, Monroe, Easton, Fairfield, Shelton, Stratford, and demonstrate financial need. New England Employee Benefits Council

New England Employee Benefits Council. Scholarships for full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in a benefits-related area (Human Resources, Health Care Program Design, Retirement Strategies, Legal Aspects of Employee Benefits). Awards up to $5000. Deadline: April 1st

Society for Professional Journalists

Society for Professional Journalists (CT Chapter). Scholarships for Connecticut residents pursuing a career in journalism. You must be an undergraduate junior or senior beginning in the fall semester. Scholarships range from $500 to $2,500. (1) $5,000 Grand Prize, (4) $2,500 Second Prizes, and (35) $1,000 Third Prizes.  Deadline: April 1st

Great Lakes National Scholarship

Great Lakes National Scholarship. $2,500 scholarship for up to 750 undergraduate or graduate students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled in a STEM major. Students must have at least a 2.75 GPA. Deadline: April 5th or until they receive 20,000 applications

Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship

Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship. Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to students committed to reducing tobacco use through community service for an underserved community and through the use of visual arts. For students who demonstrate the difference they have made in their communities through volunteering. Deadline: April 30th

MassMutual Scholars Program

MassMutual Scholars Program. $5,000 scholarships for students entering their sophomore, junior, senior or 5th-year senior year, with a college GPA of at least 3.0, and who are interested in a career in the insurance and financial services industry. Deadline: May 2nd

Gallagher Student Health Careers Scholarship Program

Gallagher Student Health Careers Scholarship Program. $5,000 scholarship for undergraduates who are rising juniors or seniors. Students need to be pursuing a health-related career, volunteer with a community or campus service organization, and have at least 3.0 GPA. Scholarships will be awarded to six students. Deadline: May 16th

JAM Paper Teacher Scholarship

JAM Paper Teacher Scholarship. $500 scholarship for any student pursuing a career in Education. Degree needs to be in Education or related field. Student must be enrolled in accredited U.S. college or university. Must submit a 400-500 word essay to a prompt. Deadline: July 15th

Asian Woman in Business Scholarship

Asian Woman in Business Scholarship. $2,500 scholarships awarded to Asian female undergraduate college students with demonstrated scholarship, leadership, community service and/ or entrepreneurial experience. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Deadline: September 15th

AES Engineers Scholarship

AES Engineers Scholarship. $500 scholarships. Belief that a high grade point average should not be the only criteria in determining who deserves to be helped. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a postsecondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking engineering courses to be eligible. Apply online. Emitations Women in Business Scholarship

Emitations Women in Business Scholarship. $1,000 scholarship for both undergraduate and graduate students. Must be full time student with GPA of at least 3.0. Must write an essay on selected topic. Deadline: December 14th

Gilman International Scholarship Program 

Gilman International Scholarship Program. For Pell recipients who will study abroad. Deadline: March 4th for fall and academic year programs. October 7th for spring programs.

Foundation for Global Scholars

Foundation for Global Scholars. Over 200 awards are given to U.S. citizens who are planning to study abroad. Scholarship awards are $1,000 to $2,500. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible and must have a GPA of at least 2.5. Study abroad must be at least 4 weeks long. Deadline: April for Summer programs. June-July for fall programs. November for winter programs.

P.E.O. Educational Scholarships and Loan Program

P.E.O. Educational Scholarships & Loan Program. Five individual programs geared towards promoting educational opportunities for women at the postsecondary and graduate level. There is the International Peace Scholarship (for international women), P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (for women returning to complete an interrupted program of study), P.E.O. Scholar Awards (for doctoral study) and the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship (for high school seniors). An Educational Loan Program is also available. Deadline: Varies

Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship Program

Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship Program. Various scholarships for students of Hispanic heritage who will be enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S.- accredited institution during the academic year. Apply online. Deadline: Varies

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. This private foundation will award up to $30,000 annually per recipient to help students and recent alumni from community colleges and two-year institutions pursue four-year degrees at any accredited college or university in the United States. Current students are eligible, as are alumni who earned a degree from a community or two-year institution and have not since transferred to a four-year college. All candidates for the scholarship must be nominated by the faculty representative at their community college or two-year institution. The list of faculty representatives and a link to the online application are available on the Foundation’s website. Deadline: November 7th for Phase One, January 16th for Phase Two

MetroWest Community Health Care Foundation

MetroWest Community Health Care Foundation. Scholarship of up to $2,000 per year for students from the MA metrowest area who are pursuing nursing, medical, clinical, and oral health professions.  Deadline: May 31st for fall and November 30th for spring.

The Iris-Samuel Rothman Scholarship

The Iris-Samuel Rothman Scholarship. This scholarship, in honor of a promising young man who died at age 22, is for a young man who has lost both his mother and father. Also eligible is a young man who has lost his mother and has either lost his father or does not have a father available to him. Questions can be sent to

Fund for Education Abroad

Fund for Education Abroad. Up to 20 awards are given to U.S. citizens or permanent resident undergraduate students who plan to study abroad. Students must be abroad for at least 4 weeks. Awards are up to $10,000. Deadline: January 2016 for 2016-2017 academic year.
