Student Job Opportunities

Internships

We offer a variety of intern opportunities in health communication and prevention. The Department of Health Promotion and Prevention believes in providing students an environment to develop skills while working on current Department projects.

Topics include substance use, fitness, stress nutrition, and sleep.

We work with students in developing surveys, Institutional Research Board reviews, epidemiology, health communication, policy development, public health theories and use of evidence based programs.  We encourage students to create internships that meet both their academic and personal requirements.  Internships are unpaid unless otherwise stated.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss an internship.  Send the following formation to Ian Wong:

Internships at Massachusetts Department of Public Health

The Department of Public Health offers internships for undergrad and Masters level students. The majority of these internships are unpaid.  There are two separate internship programs — the Student Experience Program (SEP) which places interns within DPH programs, and the DPH Local Health Internship Program which places Graduate students in local and regional health departments throughout Massachusetts as well as within DPH. In addition to these two programs, DPH sponsors a medical student as a Public Health Policy and Clinical Fellow.https://www.mass.gov/service-details/internships-at-dph .      Find out more
