Global Tufts Week: March 2-9, 2019

Participate in Global Tufts Week by attending and hosting events with a global or international focus related to this year’s theme: "Linking the Global and the Local." These events will showcase Tufts’ breadth and depth of global engagement and can range from lectures, film showings, cultural events, social programs, and more!

Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism: A Conversation with Dr. Robin DiAngelo and Jack Hill

White Fragility

Part of the "White Fragility in America Tour," this presentation will feature antiracist educator Dr. Robin DiAngelo in conversation with award-winning journalist Jack Hill, and will include an in-depth discussion about how white fragility develops, how it protects racial inequality, and what we can do to engage more constructively. Dr. DiAngelo and Mr. Hill will use Dr. DiAngelo's New York Times best-selling book, WHITE FRAGILITY: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, as a point of reference throughout.

This is an open and FREE event. Tickets are required. "Pre-sale" tickets for the Tufts community will be available on TuftsTickets.com beginning February 18. Tickets for the general public will be available beginning February 25.
