Ask Psychiatry
Speak informally with a psychiatric nurse practitioner or psychiatrist for a short (15 minutes or less) confidential telephone consultation about how medication may be helpful and how to connect with psychiatry either at Tufts or in the community.
Best for Students Who:
- Are wondering if medication may be helpful and would like further information and support
- Have been in therapy and are curious about adjunctive medication management
- Have not been in therapy before and would like to discuss treatment options
Not Meant for Students Who:
- Are in crisis or having active thoughts of self-harm (in this case, please call CMHS at 617-627-3360 and let the receptionist know that you need to speak with a clinician urgently)
- Need urgent refills
- Have a specific medication problem
Medications will not be prescribed during Ask Psychiatry appointments, and this service does not constitute mental health treatment.
