Community Standards & Policies
Tufts University is guided by expectations and standards that reflect our values of honesty, integrity, respect, and inclusion, and protect the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff. These policies continue to evolve and grow, with the active involvement and leadership of Tufts students.
Student Code of Conduct
The Student Code of Conduct provides a common set of behavioral expectations for students, faculty, and staff, in keeping with the Tufts University mission and our values of integrity, self-discipline, and respect for ourselves and others.
Through our Community Standards, the Dean of Student Affairs Office implements, and holds individuals accountable to, the Student Code of Conduct, Alcohol and Drug Policy, and Academic Integrity Policy and helps to maintain a campus environment of mutual care and respect.
Sexual Assault and Misconduct
As part of our commitment to health and safety, Tufts University offers confidential information, support, and reporting options for any student who has experienced sexual assault. The Student Affairs Office, the CARE Center team and other campus partners are available to help students access the services and support they need.
Academic Integrity and Ethics Violations
Tufts strives to ensure that all students understand what constitutes ethical academic, scholarly, and creative work at Tufts, and the policies and procedures by which all Tufts community members, including students, are held accountable to these policies.
