Health Promotion

Health Promotion works to create a wellness-supporting environment on Tufts’ campus through advocacy, education, research, and resources.

Health and wellness are impacted by our social relationships, our physical environment, genetics, and several other factors. Health Promotion looks at the health and well-being of our entire community: individuals, groups, networks, and neighborhoods. By using a number of different strategies, Health Promotion works to make Tufts a health-supporting campus for our students.

Health Promotion can include lots of different aspects of health. Learn more about several of them below.

Counseling and Mental Health Services (CMHS) Programming and Outreach

CMHS offers a number of non-clinical workshops, directs the Mental Health Reps, and provides student-led groups to help in finding friends and deeper connections.

Introduction to Mindfulness

Introduction to Mindfulness is a free four-week introduction to the practice of mindfulness. You will learn several tools, including meditation, breathing exercises, guided imagery, and more. Sessions meet in person once per week for 4 consecutive weeks. Attendance at all four weeks is required.

Introduction to Mindfulness is closed. We will offer Introduction to Mindfulness again in Fall 2025.
