Mental Health Reps

Learn how Mental Health Reps promote emotional wellbeing, reduce stigma, and connect students with mental health resources across Tufts.

The Mental Health Reps (MHRs) are a group of dedicated students who serve as a liaison between CMHS, Health Promotion and the student body. They work directly with CMHS and Health Promotion staff to help advocate for mental health support, reduce stigma, and promote mental and emotional well-being on campus. The MHRs develop programming designed to directly help Tufts students based on mental health promotion training they receive from CMHS staff and other public health professionals.

The MHRs are housed in Health Promotion Department. They are not a peer counseling group and do not lead any clinical or therapeutic groups. If you would like to work with the Mental Health Reps or have a question about the group, please email mentalhealthreps@tufts.edu

2025-2026 Mental Health Reps

I became a Mental Health Rep because I believe that taking care of one’s mental health is just as important as looking after one’s physical health. I hope to show the Tufts community that it is okay to ask for help. The areas in which I am most interested are psychopathology and global mental health.

Zoe Brown, Class of 2027, Psychology and International Relations Majors, French Minor

I wanted to become a Mental Health Rep because I am passionate about removing the stigma about mental health at a rigorous university. I want to advocate that struggling with mental health does not define a student's ability to succeed; it is still possible to thrive as a student and a future professional. I am most interested in combating imposter syndrome on an academic level.

Isabella Gorman, Class of 2027, Undecided Major, Chinese Minor

I became a Mental Health Rep to shed light on the unspoken struggles that many people go through and discover ways in which we can navigate them. I am particularly interested in global health and how mental health shapes our perspectives which in turn influences decisions that we make.

Crystal Korte, Class of 2028, Community Health Major

I want to create an environment where students feel empowered to seek support without fear of judgment and make mental health resources more accessible and relatable. I'm interested in empowering people to withstand and learn from difficult and traumatic experiences by building resilience.

Monique Lin, Class of 2028, Cognitive and Brain Sciences Major

I became a Mental Health Rep to help normalize discussions around mental health on our campus and to promote the importance of rest and downtime in having a balanced college life. I am most interested in the mind body connection with an emphasis on movement to aid in the release of mental stressors.

Jae Porter, Class of 2028, Clinical Psychology, Child Studies and Human Development, and Civic Studies Majors

I became a Mental Health Rep to help reduce the stigma around mental health and ensure students know about all the different mental health resources available to them on campus. I am most interested in psychopathology and health equity.

Diego Reyes, Class of 2028, Clinical Psychology Major, Child Study & Human Development Minor

I became a Mental Health Rep because from experience and observation, I believe that mental health sits at the core of how we venture life. It means a lot to me to spread mental health awareness, promote the resources available, and normalize mental health conversations. I am interested in mental health education and management.

Chamari Williams, Class of 2029, Economics and Sociology Majors, Fine Arts BFA
