Mindfulness

Mindfulness is about developing the ability to be fully attentive to all the moments of your life, reducing the amount of time you spend worrying about the future or fretting about the past. An important aspect of mindfulness is developing a non-judgmental, accepting, even curious, attitude about your moment-to-moment experience.

Intro to Mindfulness

Introduction to Mindfulness® is a four-week program offered to Tufts students for free. By taking this course, you will learn several tools, such as: meditation, breathing exercises, guided imagery, body scans, and more. These practices are designed to deepen self-reflection, improve stress management, and enrich your life. Each session meets in person once a week for four consecutive weeks. Attendance is required for all four weeks.

More information on Fall 2026 registration will be added here shortly.

Student-Athlete Mindfulness Project (SAMP)

The Student-Athlete Mindfulness Project (SAMP) is a program designed by student-athletes for student-athletes. SAMP aims to help you perform at a high level in your sport, while navigating the daily stress and pressure of being a collegiate student-athlete. Alumni of the program shared that the weekly meditations and mindfulness techniques they learned helped relieve stress, improve sleep, and increase overall mental and emotional health.

As a participant, you will receive pizza before each meeting, a free, 1-year subscription to Headspace, and a mindfulness journal.
