Beijing Normal University

International Summer Session

International Programs and Partnerships in collaboration with Tufts Summer Session and the Confucius Institute offer academic programs for students from Beijing Normal University. Students from across the university including BNU's Liyun Honors College, School of Journalism and Communication, School of Philosophy and Business School enroll in summer session courses while living on the Tufts Medford/Somerville campus. Each week BNU students participate in numerous residential programs and excursions to explore the history and culture of the greater Boston. These activities are led by our Residential Counselor Team who attend colleges across the U.S.

The professor listened to me carefully, was caring, and encouraged me to keep studying what I am interested in. The knowledge in the course helped me get an offer for a Masters study.

The program is a fancy experiment we get to experience American culture, get to know new people with a diversity of experiences, and see the world in a new way.

The Residential Counselors were warm and lovely. They helped us familiarize ourselves with the local environment and culture. I miss them so much.

In addition to a rigorous curriculum, [Tufts] also puts together a rich extra-curricular program, which complements the academic program and serves the particular needs of its students. Students and faculty I have talked to all found the programs extremely rewarding...
