Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion

COVID-19 Update: All six centers within the Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion will remain open virtually with normal hours. Students may schedule phone or video conference appointments and seek online resources and services through each center.

We are a collective of leaders, educators, and most importantly, people looking to serve as a resource for all undergraduate and graduate students interested in thinking about social identities and the ways they impact our lives and our world. We offer students opportunities for events, discussion, and leadership on issues of identity, diversity, and social justice. Most importantly, we provide all students a place to go and a place to be heard. Visit us at any of our centers.

In light of the recent statement on the Jumbo mask incident, as the members of the Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion we wanted to share these thoughts. We recognize the hurt and harm that this incident caused some in our community and remain committed to providing ongoing support and advocacy for you. We will continue to center community, equity, justice and collective action.

The Division would like to offer our community a time and place to connect and process this information.

As we enter Black Legacy Month and celebrate the legacy of Black pioneers, activists, and ancestors who came before us, we also continue to commit ourselves to a future where Black people thrive.

We encourage you all to keep your vision for equity and justice at the forefront of your mind as you move into this semester. Please remember to continue to center your own healing and rest during this time as well.

In community,
The Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion
