Each year, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering host a photo contest for graduate students. Students are invited to submit photos they have taken, which convey their experiences as graduate students.

“Hatched From the Wrong Egg, Landed in the Right Bowl”
This image emerged from graduate research on compositional diffusion models using Stable Diffusion. Instead of a single prompt, two expert models for "sea turtle" and "avocado" compete and blend during the generation process, producing visual fusions neither concept would create alone. This is an AND-style composition, where both concepts are synthesized together into a single coherent image.
