HEaRD Life Leader Program
HEaRD Life is a student driven program that focuses on using circles and other Restorative Practices as a means to create and maintain a sense of community across the Tufts campus.
HEaRD Life Leaders are students who are passionate first and foremost about building relationships, as well as creating and maintaining a positive campus environment and sense of community.
Responsibilities
HEaRD Life Leaders work on a team of three to four to:
- Create innovative RP community-building circles/events for Tufts students,
- Hold 2-3 circles for the Tufts community each semester,
- Help co-facilitate at least 2 Restorative Practices workshops each semester, and
- Co-create a Tufts RP curriculum to be used by Tufts students as a community-building resource.
HEaRD Life Leaders Receive
- $1000 scholarship each semester
- Restorative Practices certification and training
- Intergroup/Intragroup Dialogue certification and training
Qualifications
- Must be trained or willing to be trained in Restorative Practices T1-T3
- Ability to facilitate small group discussions and workshops
- Flexible and adaptable regarding planning and execution of events
- Friendly and approachable
- Able to understand and accept various/differing opinions and perspectives
