Director of Community Standards

Educational Background: University of New Hampshire – B.A. in English, minors in
Philosophy, Sociology, and Women’s Studies; Central Connecticut State University –
M.S. in Counselor Education: Student Development Higher Education; Northeastern
University School of Law – Master of Legal Studies (MLS)

briana R. Sevigny (first name intentionally lowercase), she/they, has worked in higher education
for over 20 years in Residential Life and Student Conduct capacities at a variety of institutions in
the New England region. briana has served as a Director since 2016, first as the Director of
Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution at Northeastern University, and in their current position
at Tufts University as the Director of Community Standards, in which she has served since 2020.
briana seeks to infuse social and environmental justice, restorative practices, holistic wellness,
and life skill building into her daily work with students, while also working to provide
mentorship, collaboration, and collegial accountability into her cross-departmental efforts.
briana has spent significant time on interdisciplinary dialogue around identity, generative AI,
and network building. briana enjoys learning formally and informally. They love to read, spend
time with animals, and consider how she can make the world kinder and gentler – while still
accountable – for all she encounters.

Lindsay Ferguson

Associate Director of Community Standards

Educational Background: University of Louisville – BS in Women’s and Gender Studies, minor in Sociology; Syracuse University – MS in Higher Education Administration; University of Massachusetts Lowell – Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Prevention  

Lindsay Ferguson (she/her) has worked in higher education for over 10 years in residential life, student conduct, and Title IX, and she joined Tufts in January 2020. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Community Standards, now working remotely from the Pacific Northwest. At Tufts, she meets with students going through the Student Conduct Resolution Procedure to help them feel heard and supported. Lindsay has a passion for creating a caring space for students to reflect on their actions and the impact they have on themselves and the larger community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time and traveling with her partner and dog (Nemo), and she has embraced her time in the Pacific Northwest learning how to fish, camp, and forage for berries and mushrooms.

Lindsay Walcott

Assistant Director of Community Standards

Educational Background: Lesley University – BS in Counseling, minor in Social Work; Northeastern University – M.Ed in Higher Education Administration 

Lindsay Walcott (she/her) has worked extensively with at-risk youth who had experienced traumatic events or circumstances in their lives at the Boston Youth Sanctuary in Dorchester, MA, where she developed curriculum for gender-based identity groups. Lindsay’s passion includes providing mentorship and guidance for youth and young adults and views her current role as Assistant Director of Community Standards as an opportunity to ensure students’ compliance with university standards, but also as a time to listen and provide alternative approaches which leads to improved conduct and behavioral choices. 

Lindsay has worked in various non-profit organizations such as Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), where her work focused on youth development, financial literacy, and job readiness; and the YMCA, where she created and oversaw a successful tutoring program. Lindsay began her career in higher education working in an administrative function at Northeastern University in the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution.

Katey Wright

Katey Wright

Community Standards Specialist

Educational Background: University of Massachusetts Dartmouth – BA in Psychology, minor in Religious Studies; University of Massachusetts Dartmouth – MA in Clinical Psychology 

Katey Wright (she/her) has worked in higher education for 5 years in various areas but focused mainly in Community Standards and Residential Life. Through her graduate work, Katey developed a passion for using her counseling skills to create a space for students to openly discuss their actions in a way that allows them to move forward and make different choices in the future. Katey’s goal is always to create a space where students feel comfortable and that students leave feeling that they have been heard and understood.  

In her spare time, Katey is a collector of hobbies and enjoys working with her hands. She also loves reading and spending time with her partner, friends, and pets.  

Laura Boehm

Laura Boehm

Administrative Assistant

Educational Background: Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Affairs and Middle East Studies from Northeastern University, and her Master of Science in International Relations and Arabic from The University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Laura also holds a TEFL Certificate to teach English as a foreign language. 

Laura has a background in International Education, having managed two study abroad programs in Germany and England. During the pandemic, Laura worked as a Special Educator in an elementary school and a full time nanny. She has worn many hats in her career, a fact that she is very proud of. Her passion lies in serving her community, and that includes her Tufts community. Laura loves to help other accomplish their goals at work, she thinks being the “behind the scenes” person is both important and fulfilling. She enjoys speaking with students and helping them understand the Community Standards process and the importance of building resilience at a young age.

In July 2024, Laura became a licensed foster parent in the State of Massachusetts. She has cared for several children thus far, and loves to talk about this experience with others.
