Director of Community Standards

Educational Background: University of New Hampshire – B.A. in English, minors in
Philosophy, Sociology, and Women’s Studies; Central Connecticut State University –
M.S. in Counselor Education: Student Development Higher Education; Northeastern
University School of Law – Master of Legal Studies (MLS)

briana R. Sevigny (first name intentionally lowercase), she/they, has worked in higher education
for over 20 years in Residential Life and Student Conduct capacities at a variety of institutions in
the New England region. briana has served as a Director since 2016, first as the Director of
Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution at Northeastern University, and in their current position
at Tufts University as the Director of Community Standards, in which she has served since 2020.
briana seeks to infuse social and environmental justice, restorative practices, holistic wellness,
and life skill building into her daily work with students, while also working to provide
mentorship, collaboration, and collegial accountability into her cross-departmental efforts.
briana has spent significant time on interdisciplinary dialogue around identity, generative AI,
and network building. briana enjoys learning formally and informally. They love to read, spend
time with animals, and consider how she can make the world kinder and gentler – while still
accountable – for all she encounters.

Lindsay Ferguson

Associate Director of Community Standards

Educational Background: University of Louisville – BS in Women’s and Gender Studies, minor in Sociology; Syracuse University – MS in Higher Education Administration; University of Massachusetts Lowell – Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Prevention  

Lindsay Ferguson (she/her) has worked in higher education for over 10 years in residential life, student conduct, and Title IX, and she joined Tufts in January 2020. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Community Standards, now working remotely from the Pacific Northwest. At Tufts, she meets with students going through the Student Conduct Resolution Procedure to help them feel heard and supported. Lindsay has a passion for creating a caring space for students to reflect on their actions and the impact they have on themselves and the larger community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time and traveling with her partner and dog (Nemo), and she has embraced her time in the Pacific Northwest learning how to fish, camp, and forage for berries and mushrooms.  

Katey Wright

Katey Wright

Community Standards Specialist

Educational Background: University of Massachusetts Dartmouth – BA in Psychology, minor in Religious Studies; University of Massachusetts Dartmouth – MA in Clinical Psychology 

Katey Wright (she/her) has worked in higher education for 5 years in various areas but focused mainly in Community Standards and Residential Life. Through her graduate work, Katey developed a passion for using her counseling skills to create a space for students to openly discuss their actions in a way that allows them to move forward and make different choices in the future. Katey’s goal is always to create a space where students feel comfortable and that students leave feeling that they have been heard and understood.  

In her spare time, Katey is a collector of hobbies and enjoys working with her hands. She also loves reading and spending time with her partner, friends, and pets.
