Zaynab España (she, her)  

Student Coordinator

Zaynab is a sophomore double majoring in Biology and Dance. She participated in the JSB 2025 trip and is excited to return as a student coordinator for Jumbo Spring Break 2026! Outside of academics, she is a member of Sarabande Dance Ensemble, an ambassador for the Tufts Dance Department, and a tutor at the StAAR Center. Zaynab believes that service is essential to living a purposeful life and that we should use our skills and talents to uplift our communities. Through JSB, she hopes to create a fun, inclusive, and meaningful trip where every participant feels welcomed and inspired by the experience of volunteering. Kevin Kraft (he, him)

Dean of Students Office

As the Associate Dean of Students, Kevin leads initiatives that build community, enhance campus culture, and create outside-the-classroom learning experiences for students.  From civic engagement and student activism to campus traditions and social programming, Kevin works to enrich the overall student life experience.  Kevin values the fundamentally relational nature of education and enjoys mentoring students.  Kevin started JSB with a group of students and has impressed by the major impact JSB has had on communities and on trip participants.

Ashley Rose (she/her)

Restorative Practices 

As Restorative Practices Program Director, Ashley Rose advances Student Life restorative practices efforts and aligns them with the university-wide inclusive and restorative dialogue strategy. She designs, develops, implements, and manages community-building curricula and programming for undergraduate and graduate AS&E students.

Ashley Rose joins Tufts from The Center for Restorative Justice at Suffolk University, where she taught race, equity, and restorative justice. During her time at Suffolk, she co-founded the American Association of Colleges and Universities’ Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Center at the university. She has deep roots in the Boston community and is passionate about civic engagement and the arts. When she is not working, she enjoys poetry, playwriting and playing pickleball with her son.
