United for Immigrant Justice (UIJ)
United for Immigrant Justice (UIJ) believes that no human being is illegal. UIJ serves as a group to represent and advocate for the U+ population on campus. We aim to address the inequities and obstacles faced by U+ immigrants to develop a sustainable grassroots movement led by both U+ and allies. These principles orient our demands for justice and equality for all humans irrespective of immigration status, gender, sexuality, economic status, race, or other forms of oppression. We believe that this work is crucial, and immigration reform needs to happen now in order to relieve the millions of people impacted by the current immigration policy. We plan to educate and inspire people to take action and be a part of the movement for immigrant justice on the Tufts campus and beyond.
