Students should plan to attend all scheduled class meetings in person on these days. Faculty are advised not to grant excused absences due to student vacation plans or travel preferences.

Housing

All students who live in the residence halls during the spring 2027 term are welcome to stay in their regular assignment on campus for all or part of spring break.

Dining

Regular hours at each dining location continue through dinner service on March 18. Modified hours for March 19 will be posted in early March. Regular service resumes at 5 p.m. on March 21.

Jumbo Spring Break

Jumbo Spring Break (JSB) is a civic engagement trip during the university’s spring break period. Students travel together as a group, do construction activities at one or more houses with Habitat for Humanity, and enjoy leisure time and excursions. JSB is a trip students remember for a lifetime—past participants have described it as a great social experience, a good way meet new people and make friends, a meaningful way to spend spring break, and an exciting trip. No prior experience required; all levels of interest and ability welcome.
