Fraternity and Sorority Councils
The Fraternity and Sorority Community is a self-governing community run by four councils. All recognized fraternities and sororities are required to belong to a sub-council as well as the Inter-Greek Council. These councils are student-run organizations committed to setting policies, expectations and community standards for the entire Fraternity and Sorority Community, and to holding individuals and organizations accountable within these standards. Each council works with an Advisor from the Division of Student Affairs. The student led governing councils provides an opportunity for self-governance within the fraternity and sorority community.
Inter-Greek Council (IGC)
The Inter-Greek Council (IGC) is the governing council for the entire fraternity and sorority community. They meet biweekly and all member organizations are required to participate. The purpose of the IGC is to foster a unified community that upholds: the values of brotherhood and sisterhood; high academic standards; philanthropic action; development of the individuals of each chapter; and support for the greater Tufts community and Greek communities through adherence to the IGC constitution with transparency and unbiased governance.
Panhellenic Council (Panhel)
The Panhellenic Council (Panhel) is the governing body for the five National Panhellenic (NPC) sororities on campus. They work together to promote women's empowerment through programming and awareness activities as a collaborative sorority community.

Interfraternity Council (IFC)
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body for the nine national fraternities and one local co-ed fraternity on campus. They work together to promote healthy risk management and education and serve as a voice for fraternities.
Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) works to bring the city-wide culturally based organizations together to have a strong presence on campus. There are two MGC events per year which all organizations interested in attracting Tufts students are required to participate in.
