Complete Exit Counseling
Loan Exit Counseling
The student loan repayment process begins when you cease to be enrolled at least half time at Tufts University. At this point, it is mandatory that you complete a loan exit interview. The loan exit interview informs you about the terms and conditions of your loans, your rights as a borrower, as well as the total amount of student loan debt you incurred while enrolled at Tufts University.
You may need to complete loan exit counseling on two separate websites, depending on the type of loans you borrowed.
- To complete exit interviews for your Federal Direct Student loans, including Stafford Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and Grad Plus loans, you must visit the Federal Student Loans website.
- To complete exit interviews for your Tufts Institutional or Health Professional Loans, you must visit the University Accounting Service website.
Before you start your online exit interview, please have the following information available:
- Your social security number
- Your driver's license number
- The names, addresses and telephone numbers of three references not living at the same address.
Once you have completed the exit interview process, a confirmation page will appear on the exit site.
You can view the full record of all Federal Loans you have borrowed by logging in to your Federal Student Aid account dashboard with your FSA ID.
FSA ID
The FSA ID is a username and password that replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN in May 2015. It must be used to log in to complete Federal Direct Loan Exit Counseling.
