Reapply for Aid: Overview

Please log in to SIS to view your personalized list of required documents and track the items that have been received. We begin emailing aid decisions to currently enrolled students at the end of June, and award information can be viewed in SIS after the letter has been sent.

Combined-degree (bachelor/master) financial aid recipients should apply to the graduate school for scholarships for the fifth year or when the bachelor's degree requirements are completed, whichever comes first.

Students who were admitted to Tufts and deferred their start to take a gap year should follow the instructions for a Regular Decision applicant when they apply for aid for their first year.

Domestic Students: Current and Returning Undergraduates

Below are the deadlines, required documents, and submission instructions for currently enrolled domestic undergraduate students applying for financial aid, with application details for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents and Undocumented Students with or without DACA status.

The deadline for currently enrolled undergraduate students to submit the 2023-2024 Financial Aid Application is April 18, 2023 (FAFSA and CSS Profile). IDOC submissions are due May 1, 2023.

  • Please keep a copy of all submitted documents for your own records. Emailed documents will not be accepted.
  • Award Notifications: We begin emailing award letters to currently enrolled students at the end of June, and award information can be viewed in SIS after the letter has been sent.
  • If you are only applying for federal loans: Please submit the FAFSA by April 18 and complete the request form in SIS (in the Financial Aid portal, select "Federal Aid Only Request" from the Menu) to notify our office that you will not apply for Tufts grant aid. You do not need to submit the CSS Profile.

*Deadline Policy: Returning student grant aid may be reduced by $1,000 for all applications completed after June 15.
