First-Year Undergraduate Housing

Process

Living on campus is a core part of the learning and growth experience for undergraduates. All incoming students are assigned a roommate and residence hall based on Residential Life’s Housing Survey that you are required to fill out as part of the matriculation process.

A link to the Housing Survey will be available soon.

Meeting and living with people who have traveled a different life journey to arrive at Tufts and who share different perspectives is key to the Tufts residential life experience.

Each residential community is staffed with student Resident Assistants, graduate assistants, and full-time professional staff who are focused on providing residential education and facilitating social connection.

Undergraduate Orientation has some helpful Tips and Resources, including information on what to bring and what to leave behind. Check out our Move-In and Move-Out Information as you plan your transition to our living and learning community. You can read more about our programs and policies through our Resource Center.
