Animal-Assisted Therapy
About
CMHS clinician Ellen Yang and Cooper Blue, her 6-year-old Australian Cobberdog (labradoodle), are a certified therapy dog team and may be available for petting sessions or appointments at CMHS. Please note that Cooper's hours on campus are limited.
We have two types of animal-assisted appointments. We offer brief petting sessions to help students relax and destress. This type of contact is meant to provide comfort and is not therapy. We also offer 45-minute clinical appointments with our therapy dog team.
Appointments with our therapy dog team cannot be scheduled online. Please call our office at 617-627-3360 to find out when Cooper will be on the Medford campus with Ellen.
For more information, please review this consent form for animal-assisted therapy. You will be asked to sign it—or you may print it and bring it with you—when you arrive at CMHS for your appointment.
