We are a family in Cambridge looking for after-school childcare for our 1-year-old and 3-year-old starting this September. The nanny will be responsible for engaging the children in

We have 2.5-month-old twins and are looking for some help in the mornings (3-5 hours per day, 3-5 days per week, flexible schedule). As a family, we have a deep respect for caregivers. We value the positive impact they have had on our young children's lives and as two working parents, we understand how necessary reliable childcare is to meet our professional commitments.
The Position
We are looking for 3 days / week childcare, 8:30-6:30pm (30 hours) starting mid May - end of August for two school aged children. We have applied to camps for our oldest so for 6 weeks so there could be about half the time where you are caring for one child. We can be flexible on days outside of Friday (where we already have childcare) but do request that once a schedule is set for between us we keep it consistent and honor the days/hours. We will have some flexibility on the start/stop date for the right candidate.
There is an option to extend childcare into the school year but the hours would shift to 3 days / week from 2-6:30pm.
We are biased of course, but our kids are fun. Our 4yo is articulate, friendly, smart and charming. He loves playing with trucks and riding his bike. His 7yo brother adores legos and playing soccer. Our oldest is on the sensitive side, so he would benefit from someone who is patient and help him identify and regulate his emotions. Both boys are full of energy so this position would be ideal for someone who likes to be on the move. We would provide a car to use so you could do fun events outside the city this summer and drive to/from camp for our oldest.
We live within walking distance to Porter Square in Cambridge.
